to make the sea salt spray, simply mix 1 3/4 teaspoons of sea salt and 1 cup of water, and put it in a spray bottle. or you can use a professional product such as Bumble %26amp; Bumble's Surf Spray, or John Freida's ocean spray. spray it in, scrunch your hair a bit and let it air dry. after it dries, DO NOT BRUSH YOUR HAIR. it will ruin the beautiful curls.

When your hair is just about dry, twist it into a ponytail and then keep twisting it. Then, clip it. I do this and when it's fully dry, it will be wavy. It's nice because I don't have to use anything but a clip.

I have curly hair, but my products says "for wavy or curly hair", so I would assume it should work for you!

I use either Sunsilk Frizz Ease or Suave Proffesional Curl Creme and curl mousse (I personally use Tresseme Curl Care).

I apply the creme first to wet hair and then the mousse.

I think that if you have got thick, wavy hair you shouldnt get it cut too short because the shorter it is, if its really thick its going to come outwards. Medium length i think is perfect for your hair type, maybe you could try square-cut bangs so they dont come round your face but still are layers and go in sections down the front! or could try having a side parting with a side fringe, side fringes are really popular at the mo and will refresh your look instantly!

Braid your hair before you go to bed. It works a lot better if you use thick braids. In other words, you only need 3-5 braids in your hair. The less braids, the bigger the wave. If you want even wavier hair, take a shower or get your hair wet before braiding. Sleep with the braids in for a whole night. Try not to toss and turn too much, if you can. It will give it an even better boost. When you wake up, simply unbraid you hair. Brush (or comb, if you prefer) your hair softly without much pull. You don't want to ruin your awesome wave.

Wash your hair normally, and at the end of your shower, rinse your hair with cold water. Spritz your hair with spray in conditioner/detangler and brush your hair through and find your part (off center is very pretty and goes well with this look). Spray or rub in a curl booting product, not too much or your hair will get weighed down and greasy. Tousle your hair with your fingers, then sleep on it. In the morning, straighten about 1 inch of the ends of your hair, and straighten your bangs. Scrunch your hair, then add a bit of hair spray. If your hair is flat at the top, spray it with water, add a small amount of gel, scrunch it into a ball, then secure it with a jaw clip. Leave it for about 10 minutes then spray with hair spray and remove the clip.

At any rate, to make a long story short, since you asked about "straightening" and defrizzing really frizzy and wavy hair, I would like to suggest you make an appointment at a reputable hair salon and get a consultation for a hair relaxer. The stylist who does your consultation will help you determine if that is a good option for you.

Now, I realize that there are home relaxer kits available in stores, but if you don't know what you're doing with the items in the kit, you might end up making your problem worse, so it's best to get it done in a salon, at least for your first treatment.

There is a chemical process now available which is called "Thermal Reconditioning," or Japanese Hair Straightening. Though it can be quite expensive, it has been known to produce incredible results. Maybe this is an option which you can explore.

Use a serum and blowdry down the hair from the roots to the tip. Alternatively invest in a pair of straighteners. Use some form of protective hair product too though. GHD ones are fab, but expensive.

Only one sure fire way... buy GHD straighteners! they are the god of de-frizzing. My hair is awful, when i wash it and roughly blowdry it I look quite monstrous! with GHD it's beautiful everytime, i don't know what it is about them but no other straightener can compare.

I searched for the answer every where. My hair stuborn, poofy and wavy hair. Here is my suggestion:

Use a very strong conditioner that almost relaxes your hair. You could use Loreal Nature's Therapy, Mega Moisture formula. Then use some Kiehl's heat protecting, straightening cream on your towel dried hair and blow dry your hair so it is completely dry. Then use a ceramic iron, like Chi.

I do this every week and I have the healthiest set of hair.
