My daughter has really curly hair, (which I dont) and a friend of mine told me what to do (she has really curly hair as well). When you get out of the shower, towel dry your hair. Mix equal parts conditioner with hair gel and comb through with a hair pick. Srunch your hair with your hands and define the curls by wrapping around your finger, then let it air dry. I have had great luck doing this for my daughter and it lasts for a few days. My daughter has dry hair so the conditioner does wonders. May be a problem if you have naturally oily hair though. My neice has very curly hair which frizzes if you comb it or touch it too much. She uses conditioner instead of shampoo all the time. Yes she still shampoos her hair just not with shampoo every time. She follows that with a John Freida anti frizz sculpting glaze it leaves the hair looking like it is damp but not sticky and she doesn't seem to have any problems as long as she doesn't comb her hair. Well, first off, somewhat dirty hair curls much much better then squeaky clean hair, so here's my suggestion, kind of complicated... I have thick hair so this is what I do. The day after I wash my hair, I shower, but I only condition my hair. Then I let my hair air dry with a little bit of gel in it. After my hairs dry I curl it with a curling iron, or blow dry waves etc.. however you do it. Only hair product I use after that is HAIRSPRAY HAIRSPRAY HAIRSPRAY. Leaves my curls in all day. :)

I wash my hair every day, towel dry it and then comb in a small amount of leave-in conditioner. (I use Amlika from The Body Shop) I leave my hair to dry naturally and just run my fingers through it now and again as it is drying (from the underneath up!!)
