waves like this:

My hair is pretty long (down to the middle of my chest) and has a LITTLE bit of natural wave to it.

Please don't say to braid it! All that does for me is make it crimped!

So please suggest any tools/products to use and be specific about brands and stuff if you can!

thank you!!!

ok, this is the easiest way of getting that style that i have figured out so far.

1.) wash your hair, but dont condition. this will help bring out your natural waves.

2.) towel dry your hair until damp. spray a curl enhancing spray to it and kind of scrunch and twist hair ( i use garnier fructis ) *dont spray too much or it'll get crunchy like gel*

3.) blow dry hair and let it cool.

4.)divide hair into sections according to layer. (like bottom, middle, top, etc.)

5.) take a 1/2 ~ 3/4 inch curling iron (bigger the barrel, softer and looser the waves) and wrap strands around the iron. hold for 3 to 8 seconds depending on desired curl

*dont clip your hair in but wrap around with the barrel closed*

6.) after finishing the whole head, let it cool for at least 5 minutes

7.) comb finger through stands that are too curly, or curl strands that are limp to achieve your desired outcome.

8.)spray hair spray (aersol spray) onto hair to hold the style

and thats how you do it. after you get used to the process, it should take you around 30 to 45 minutes to go through. be patient, or your hair wont hold the style beyond one hour.

good luck =]

- blow dry it straight and then divide it into thin sections

- spray each section with curl activator like TREsemme and curl it with hot curling iron. separate the curls with ur fingers and spray a good holding spray

curler and hairspray. any brand you like! if that takes too much time, buy some hair gel, the kind for curly hair that doesn't get all hard (im sorry i cant remember the brand, i'll try and check later) wash your hair at night then brush and put in the gel, not too much though! get your hair twist it, and put it in in a high bun on the top of your head. or you can try with two high buns on either side of you head if you like. you should take your hair down in the morning and it should be wavy.

good luck!

any curling iron will work. You take a small handfull of hair (as much as you want in one curl), then you kind of roll your curling iron up into the hair, to the point where you want the curl to start. you leave it in for a while. the time it will take to become curled always depends on the type of hair, so just try it out. then you do this all around and voila. theres also special hair products, i think L'oreal has some and some other brands, which you put in the hair before and it will help, or some for afterwards which will make the curl stay. Have fun! I also love that kind of hairstyle and i also have a little bit of a natural wave, but curling irons dont work for me, it just makes my hir static.. :( but good luck!

i have about the same type of hair that you do. its funny that you ask cause i was going nuts trying to figure it out like a week ago. finally i just started to play. okay so what you do is brush out your hair and depending on how big you want the curls section your hair by 1-2 inch then take a curling iron (i have con air, but there are better ones. just make sure its ceramic and can get pretty hot.) if you want smaller tighter curls use a thin curling iron, for mid sized curls use a mid size iron, ect... you want to make sure that you curl your hair in the right direction other wise your get an ugly crimp at the bottom of your curl. since your hair is longer, i would start at the bottom of your strands then take the iron to the middle section of your section and continue up to your scalp (carefule though). after your done with all your sections take shine serum ( i use fructise sleek and shine serum) depending on how much hair you have, i have a lot of hair and still only use one pump, about a quarter size. otherwise your hair gets too oily. okay so then rub your hands together and gently run your fingers through your hair to slightly seperate them. if your hair doesnt hold curls well finish with a little bit of flexible hair spray.

sorry so long but i wish someone would have told me this, it would have saved me like three hours.

good luck.
