What is the best way to straighten THICK wavy hair at home?

hair straightner would be the simplest solution.....but if you're looking for a more permanent solution then you can buy chemical hair relaxers in shops, or failing that, you can even use the perm solution out of a home perming kit, as this is the same solution that chemical hair relaxants contain (just discard the neutraliser)

I use a ceramic flat iron. Make sure you get a high quality one like they use in salons. Mine is a Chi. I got it on ebay much cheaper than they sell them for in salons.

if you cant afford a good hair straightener, try getting some sheets of light newspaper, and lay your hair out over the ironing board. cover the hair with one sheet of paper, and turn the iron to nylon setting or three dots.

it takes a while but generally gives good results.
